*SIGH* I still know what I did y'day |
--> Woke up with a start (as usual) and banged my head against the mostly shut door of my room...wonder what makes me imagine it as leaving past heaven's door.
--> Checked if i still had that irritating pimple on my nose...Yippie! it is such a gem o' an everlasting friend.
--> Flashed my sparkling whites (post-brushing)...*sigh* why can't they change colors to some exquisite fuchsia or something?!?
--> Flipped through the Sunday Times while sipping my pink milk...mind you, that's the only PINK thing i consciously involve my senses into.
--> Blank as ever...blinked at the pic flashed across my face.
--> Didn't have an answer to dad's "how do you like him?" rant.
--> Washed up and put myself bait to a day-long "samjhaana"...only my uncle's kid-daughter abstained from such temptations. Possibly because she was more interested in playing "baddie" with me than act a praying mantis to my brains.
--> Skipped guitar class without the slightest of doubt on my mind. Haven't been doing much justice to it of late.
--> In continuum with my self-observed silence...slipped into commotion-ruled sleep.

I DEMAND an explanation |
I call it an open forum now. An invitation to all those geeks out there...
Task: Convert Word doc to PDF format
Related Applications: Office XP and Acrobat Writer 4.0
More Info: This word doc has a pre-loaded template -.dot file(you may know it as a CSS) and is about 65 pages long. The footer in the doc has a field code in place that picks up the relevant text from the title of the doc. The first page (title page) has a splash screen in place.
Scenario: The PDF conversion takes ages to convert headings and styles to bookmarks (step 2 of the conversion process). The first time I tried doing it, the count ran to over 80,000...terminated and tried without screenshots (supposedly a lot of them). It didnt work this time too. Created a new doc (in case the file was corrupted)...didnt work either. Reduced the doc size to a mere 5 pages, without any formatting and/or screenshots. This time it worked but the links in the doc werent in place in the PDF file. The most recent attempt had me attempting conversion without the footer, title and the splash screen. It give me an error that reads: "An error occurred while linking with other documents."
One other thing, a few pages worth doc without footer and title or splash screen gives me a PDF file with functional links.
The problem: NEVER had any till i landed this particular doc. Will somebody want to help me zero-in on the problem??
Solution: ???
